Laser machine at Haitsma Engraving since 1996
Haitsma Engraving started in 1978 with a pantograph, and today they work with a well-equipped fleet of computers for engraving, milling machines, and both solid-state and CO2 laser machines. They began using their first Nd:YAG laser in 1996, and their first CO2 laser was acquired in 1999. Haitsma Engraving specializes not only in flatwork engraving but is also one of the few organizations that offers rotary milling, such as for ship's bells. They first mill and then lacquer them. They also engrave steel, wood, marble, and various other materials, including cremation urns, which are becoming increasingly popular as the demand grows.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the best BRM laser for my application?
By answering three questions, you'll make the choice much easier. What materials will you process? What will you mainly be doing? (Cutting, engraving, or both equally.) What work surface do you need? Once you have this sorted, we will help you specifically determine the best option.
Which materials can I process with a BRM laser?
A BRM laser helps you quickly and effortlessly cut or engrave countless organic materials. From acrylic to hardboard, from wood to textiles, and more! The possibilities are virtually endless. Unsure if your specific material is suitable? Let us test it for you. We do this for free. That way, you'll know immediately if your application is possible.
What can I not process with a laser machine?
A lot can be done with a laser, but there are exceptions. When processing certain materials, such as PVC for example, contaminated fumes are released that are harmful to health and can damage the machine. Therefore, our advice is to avoid using these materials. If in doubt, always ask the manufacturer for the exact composition to ensure that the material is suitable.
